Binsky Building with BIM

Building Information Modeling

Binsky Mechanical knows that BIM has become a central element in construction and is committed to staying on the front line of this new technology. Building Information Modeling (BIM) is intelligence based design that generates and manages a building information model through the use of a three dimensional design. It is an important innovation in construction that promises owners, architects, engineers, construction managers, and contractors vast new opportunities that were not previously available.

As a leading mechanical contractor, Binsky Mechanical has invested tremendous resources to take full advantage of this advancement.

Binsky Mechanical has an in-house drafting department that is skilled at fully implementing all aspects of BIM, including three dimensional modeling, conflict detection, the integration of building properties with our scope of work, and working with the owner and the architect to provide a complete virtual model of the building. We understand this technology continues to mature daily and we constantly update our expertise with training and software advancements. We own and are proficient in the latest versions of AutoCAD, Quickpen 3D Pipe Designer (PD3D), Navisworks, AutoCAD MEP, and Revit.

We look forward to additional opportunities to showcase our capabilities. Recent and current Binsky Mechanical projects that have utilized BIM, include:

  • University Medical Center at Princeton
  • Capital Health Hospital
  • Princeton University Neuroscience & Psychology Building Complex
  • Princeton University Database Center
