McGraw Hill Data Center
This state-of-the-art data center includes 100,000 sq ft of MEP space,
25,000 sq ft of office space, and 55,000 sq ft of raised floor computer
room space. It also provides 5,000 sq ft of space for high density loads
up to 8-12 kw per cabinet. The overall redundancy exceeds the accepted
industry standard, achieving a “Tier-IV” rating.
Binsky & Snyder was pleased to be the mechanical contractor-of-choice for this elaborate data center design. The mix of redundant topologies provided Binsky ample opportunity to demonstrate it’s strengths and abilities in central utility plant design and data centers.
Binsky’s mechanical highlights:
- 5 air cooled rooftop chillers
- 4 water cooled chillers
- 3 underground fuel tanks
- 212 CRAC units
- 42 high density CRAC units
- Full-time 3rd party weld inspector for ultrasonic testing of all chilled water and condenser water welding
- 4 cooling towers
